Every meal at Lumbrada begins in a similar fashion: with a subtly spicy, freshly crafted salsa and a side of hot, crispy chips. The simple, but artfully executed dish is a preview of things to come at this authentic Mexican eatery, which just debuted in Wayne this February.

The large menu of Mexican dishes encompasses many classic eats and a few you may have never tried. The traditional fare includes a hefty roster of tacos, from traditional chicken tacos to tacos stuffed with grilled mahi-mahi, as well as burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. The larger entrees offer some unique options, for example, the chipotle-barbecue pork chops—AKA the chuleta de puerco en salsa barbecue. The kitchen team crafts their own barbecue sauce, then slathers tender pork chops in it and perches the cutlets atop fluffy mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. Wash down your meal with one of the tequila-infused cocktails, from a classic margarita to the mango Michelada.
