The Philadelphia Flower Show has a long history in the city. It started back in 1829, making this the oldest flower show in the world. And thanks to the fact that it usually attracts a crowd of 250,000 people, it’s also the biggest in the world. Experience the flower show for yourself when it comes to the Pennsylvania Convention Center this year from March 2nd to 10th.
The theme for 2019 is “Flower Power,” a nod to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. So the florists, landscapers, and artists who showcase their floral art will use it to express the ways that flowers have left their mark on society over the years. In addition to the floral art, the Philadelphia Flower Show also boasts a market packed with more than 150 vendors, selling everything from garden tools to artisan-made jewelry. Tickets to the Philadelphia Flower Show start at $17.
