The holidays can be hard for families who are forced to spend their family time in the hospital as their child battles cancer. Healing Hats and Toys wants to bring a bit of holiday cheer to these children and families. So they buy new winter hats and toys to pass out at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Christopher’s Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House, and St. Edmond’s Home for Children during the holiday season. On Saturday, October 7th, the newly renovated Barnaby’s in Havertown hosts an evening of beer-drinking and savory fare. A ticket costs $35, which goes back to Healing Hats and Toys and their cause. It entitles ticketholders to an evening of beef (and other food), libations from the open bar, and entry in a raffle that offers tons of prizes.
