Sweet Mabel is in the business of art—not only of selling it, but also creating it.
That's why the art gallery also houses an open art studio. Anyone 15 years of age or older can utilize the studio for independent work or come with a group and work side by side in various mediums. For guests with little or no experience, the studio even hosts classes and workshops to teach the basics of various art forms, from woodworking to sculpting garden pottery.
Meanwhile, the art gallery plays host to colorful, folksy pieces from mostly Philadelphia-area artists. The gallery is known for displaying upcycled artwork, such as scrap-metal sculptures or handbags crafted from truck tires. Not every single item is from a local artist, however.
