There’s no shortage of holiday cheer in Philadelphia and its suburbs. In fact, the city really comes to life when the temperatures start to dip. That’s why there’s so much to do around Bryn Mawr this holiday season, and not just snapping a photo with Santa. This round-up of Philly-area events includes everything from holiday tours of historic homes to a gingerbread house display.
The holiday tours unfold at A Very Philly Christmas at The Historic Houses of Fairmount Park. Five of the park’s iconic mansions, including Strawberry Mansion and Laurel Hill, open their doors wide now through December 30th for special performances and festive refreshments. Head a bit outside of the city to Peddler’s Village, where the entire outdoor shopping village is enveloped in sparkling holiday lights. The gingerbread house competition serves as the main event at Peddler’s Village, and you can see the many fancy entries when you head to the Village Gazebo.
