Every year around this time, Philadelphia transforms into a festive place celebrating the holiday season. But you don’t have to venture into Center City to take advantage of the holiday cheer. On Sunday, December 4th from noon to 4 p.m., the quaint borough of Narberth will host its own holiday celebration: The Dickens Festival.
For the afternoon, A Christmas Carol comes to life in downtown Narberth. Actors will be wearing apparel reminiscent of 1840s London while meandering the Narberth streets, relaying the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim to anyone they encounter. Even if you don’t run into a Dickens character right away, you can still enjoy a carriage ride, crafts, ice sculpting, and even puppet shows at The Dickens Festival. Take part in the free scavenger hunt if you really want to experience everything that Narberth has to offer this time of year.
