If you’re a loyal patron of Jules Thin Crust, you’ll be happy to know that its owners just opened up their second venture in April, Lovebird. It’s a fitting name for the casual new eatery in Bryn Mawr since its kitchen specializes in fried chicken—but probably not the way you’re imagining it.
The kitchen team stuffs the freshly fried chicken inside sandwiches, loads it on top of quinoa bowls, and tosses it into salads. The chicken comes from Gerber’s Amish Farm, a cage-free facility specializing in all-natural birds. Try it in the form of a sammy like the signature Lovebird, which comes packed with house-made slaw, pickles, bibb lettuce, and a special sauce in addition to the crispy chicken. For something lighter, opt for the quinoa bowl embellished with crispy Brussels sprouts, shaved beets, and an organic spring mix, plus the crispy chicken, miso-garlic grilled chicken, or miso-garlic tofu.
