Did you know that it’s National Blueberry Month? It makes sense, given that July is the height of blueberry season here in Pennsylvania. You can celebrate the summer fruit and local musical talents at the Bluegrass and Blueberries Festival at Peddler’s Village, which is coming up on July 20th and 21st.
All of the 60-plus shops and restaurants will be open for the weekend as usual—a little later on Saturday night—but you’ll also find stands bearing plump local blueberries from the area’s farms. Pick up a few pints to take home and enjoy live music, courtesy of the country and bluegrass bands scattered throughout the village. Stick around for a bite at one of the food tents, from sweet treats like blueberry fritters to smokehouse specials, or grab a meal at a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
