One of the area’s finest art cinemas, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute, welcomes film fans for a screening and seminar on Thursday, February 16th. Led by Maurizio Giammarco of Temple University, the event features Ingmar Bergman’s most-celebrated film, Cries and Whispers. The film focuses on the theme of death, as all the major characters are faced with a difficult situation.
The event will start with an introductory lecture led by Giammarco and will continue with a screening of the iconic film. To close out the event, Giammarco will lead a post-film discussion that centers on the themes and messages of Cries and Whispers. Admission to this screening and discussion is $25 for members of the Bryn Mawr Film Institute and $30 for non-members. The Film Institute is less than a mile away from Radywn Apartments, which makes this an easy event to check out this February.
