Radwyn: New and Improved, Just For You!

July 5, 2013

We’re really excited about the sweeping changes we’ve made at Radwyn. Numerous improvements have been made to the property entrances, leasing office, grounds and pool area. We’ll be continuing to make changes for the next few months to create an even better place to call home.

Some changes are not visible, like the “below grade” storm water chambers that have been installed in several locations to assist in better management of the storm water. The under-ground chambers collect the water and release it a bit at a time rather than allowing large ponding areas to collect around the property. This system helps to re-charge the ground water and is a good example of the efforts being made at Radwyn to increase on site infiltration and manage storm water runoff on site.

Other changes are more noticeable and include:

  • The old post and rail perimeter fencing has been replaced with an updated white fence that is more attractive and more visible.
  • Seasonally interesting and “native to the area” have been over-arching concepts in the selection and layout of the new landscaping that has been installed at the entrances, leasing office, fronts of Buildings E and A and the pool area. The plant selection was based upon the effort to make the landscaping more water efficient, thereby reducing the need for irrigation.
  • New signage, featuring the new logo, updated lettering and new lighting has been installed at the property entrances. More new signage to assist visitors and residents in building identification will be installed soon. Lighting for the signage and landscaping has been installed and more lighting is scheduled for installation soon.
  • A “dog park” has been installed for residents. It provides an area where dogs can be “off the leash,” creating a place on the property that allows freedom for both dogs and their owners. Multiple pet “waste stations” have been installed around the property for easy cleanup.
  • At the Leasing Office, new signage, landscaping, site furniture, awning, lighting and planters have been installed for current and future residents of Radwyn.
  • Multiple changes have been made at the pool area. They include newly painted and tiled bathrooms in the pool house, newly painted perimeter fencing, signage, landscaping inside and outside the fence, new pool furniture and umbrellas, picnic area with tables and umbrellas, planters and newly coated pool deck and pool interior.
  • Community grills for outdoor barbecues are scheduled for installation soon and will be located for residents’ convenience near each building in the community.
  • A bus shelter will be installed soon for residents’ use that will feature an attractive, protected structure that is easily accessible for the handicapped and safe for children waiting for the school bus.

As always, we welcome your feedback, so feel free to call or email us and tell us what you think about Radwyn’s transformation.
